I’m still learning how to use this product, but I tested it’s cure with a method using a dual probe thermocouple (measuring the exothermic heat-spike against the ambient lamp temp to determine when the cure completes) and it cured well after about 35 seconds, so I do a 40 second cure to be safe. My tests were with a lamp that uses 405nm light wavelength. There seems to be a learning curve to get the self-leveling right, but I love the finished product and can’t wait to improve my technique. I selected the NKK brand because they market as being HEMA-free- at the time I didn’t know about TPO monomers having a similar risk for allergy sensitization. I will continue to use this product, but will take care to prevent contact with the product in its uncured state. I’m currently looking for a no-wipe top coat to seal in the inhibition layer, as I’ve heard the left over tack counts as uncured product, and contact (even while wiping) should be avoided.
